Course outline

As a graduate of the double degree Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you will have the capabilities to apply your skills and knowledge in managing a wide range of built environment and engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle. You can be involved in planning and engineering design of structures, managing time, cost, quality and sustainability of building and construction engineering projects. You will be a resilient problem solver, engineering, project manager, and researcher, able to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.

This double degree will provide you with real life exposure to various aspects of the built environment and civil engineering, paving the way to pursuit a board range of career opportunities in the built environment and the engineering sector. You will engage in work-integrated learning to gain real world experiences. This degree will maintain the integrity of Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Construction Management and Quantity Surveying), which is provisionally accredited by the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveying (AIQS) and is seeking the accreditation of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors (RICS), and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) which is accredited by the Engineers Australia.

This course is covered by the QUT Offer Guarantee and Year 12 Early Offer Scheme.
