Be at the forefront of emerging technologies such as cyber security, data science and artificial intelligence. Apply theoretical studies of algorithms and data structures to the practical challenges of implementing hardware and software systems. Build strong analytical, logical and development skills through practicals, workshops, internships and work experience. Choose science specialisations from one of the broadest ranges of scientific disciplines in Australia. Gain a broad science education with in-depth knowledge in one or two scientific disciplines. Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4) is recommended for this program. Students without Specialist Mathematics or equivalent may be required to undertake preparatory courses which may not enable the program to be completed in the minimum time frame without overloading or undertaking summer study.
