Course outline

Take centre stage and establish your acting and performance career with this degree. Students will develop a range of highly advanced practical skills and specialised knowledge. This program focuses on the craft and art of acting and performance. The course offers lively, detailed and focused training in acting, voice and body skills and gives students regular performance opportunities to perform for live audiences. Students will unleash their creative voice as an independent performance maker and develop as an actor and performer who thinks for themselves and respects their own ideas and ideals. During the course students will be exposed to plays, readings, online resources and academic materials that have been designed to inspire, challenge and motivate the training actor. The program is tailored for those students who want to engage in a professional career as a stage or film actor, performing artist or performance maker.

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age; Audition

QTAC applications for this course close: 6 December 2024 for semester 1, 2025 entry. To be considered after this date, interested applicants should contact TAFE Queensland, South Bank on 1300 308 233.

Additional entry requirements

Audition/portfolio submission is required separate to the QTAC application. TAFE Queensland, South Bank will send out official correspondence inviting audition/portfolio submission once the QTAC application has been submitted.
