Prevent crime and promote justice with this specialised program of study that prepares graduates for a career as a criminologist. Students will gain the skills and knowledge to contribute towards reducing and controlling crime problems that face contemporary society. With a focus on professional practice and criminal law, learn how the justice system works and understand why people commit crimes. Study criminological theory, criminal justice, criminological research methods, criminal law and professional practice in criminology and criminal justice. Gain hands-on experience with an included industry project in the final year of the program. This brings together theory, research and specialist skills, making graduates highly employable both in the public and private sectors.
