You’ll be introduced to core legal principles and the Australian legal system, as well as global law, helping you build a solid foundation in law.

Critical thinking and analytical reasoning are emphasised to equip you with the skills needed to interpret legislation, assess legal arguments, and engage with contemporary legal issues. Ethical awareness and social responsibility are a focus, reflecting the importance of integrity and social justice in legal practice.

You’ll gain this foundational knowledge in a supportive learning environment, setting you up for success in your future legal studies. Successful completion of the Diploma of Legal Studies provides a direct pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Laws.
