This pathway program will prepare you to transition into the Bachelor of Nursing (Logan campus). The Diploma of Nursing Science is your gateway to success in the nursing profession. You’ll delve into essential courses such as Foundations of Professional Nursing, Communicating Effectively, and Human Anatomy and Physiology, all while experiencing a dynamic blend of classroom learning and hands-on experiences in our state-of-the-art nursing labs. Upon successful completion of this diploma, you will be offered guaranteed entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing. Prior to enrolling in Year 2 courses, you’ll undertake the intensive 1809NRS Effective Nursing Practices course at our Gold Coast Campus, approximately six weeks prior to the start of the university’s first trimester. The Diploma of Nursing Science and Bachelor of Nursing together form an approved pathway to register as a registered nurse in Australia; the diploma alone does not qualify you to work as a nurse in Australia.
