Each Institution will have different age requirements. You must be at least the age listed below and meet any other relevant requirements to study at the selected institution.

Australian Catholic University
Age 17 or completed Year 12.
Bond University

Christian Heritage College
Completed Year 12 or turned age 17 by 31 January 2025 for Semester 1 or 30 June 2025 for Semester 2.
CQUniversity Australia
Completed Year 12 or turned age 17 by 31 January 2025 for Semester 1 2025 entry, 1 July 2025 for Semester 2 2025 entry, 1 November 2025 for Semester 3 2025.
Griffith College
Completion of Year 12 attained or attained age 18 years with additional study/work experience.
Griffith University
Completed Year 12 or turned age 17 by 1 November 2024 for Trimester 3 2024, 1 March 2025 for Trimester 1 2025, 1 July 2025 for Trimester 2 2025 or 1 November 2025 for Trimester 3 2025. Domestic applicants under age 17 will not be considered for entry to Griffith programs unless they have completed Year 12 or an AQF Certificate III (or higher) qualification, and all admission requirements. Applicants under age 16 should contact Griffith for further details.
James Cook University
Age 18 or completed Year 12.
JMC Academy
Age 17.
Queensland University of Technology
16 years old at the first census date of QUT study, plus obtained an ATAR or completed Year 12.
If you have not obtained an ATAR or completed Year 12, you will be considered for entry when you are at least 18 years old by the first census date of your QUT study, and you have achieved studies or work experience acceptable to QUT, such as:
- A completed Certificate III or higher qualification
- Studied at least 0.25 year of degree (or higher study)
- Have at least 0.5 year full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience
- Performing Arts qualifications.
SAE University College
Age 17 or completed Year 12
Southern Cross University
Applicants who are under 18 years of age as at 1 March 2025 for Term 1 and 2, 2025 and who do not have a completed Year 12 qualification may only be considered for admission if their qualifications and level of attainment are acceptable to the relevant Associate Dean (Education)
TAFE Queensland
Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age.
For the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (555037, 555948), Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics (555145) and Bachelor of Nursing (526883) applicants should be a minimum of 17 years of age and turning 18 during the first year of study with TAFE. Applicants who do not meet the age criteria are required to participate in an interview with the Course Coordinator prior to an offer being made by QTAC. The University of Queensland
To be considered for admission an applicant must be 16 years of age at the commencement date of a program or course. Any applicants under 16 years of age at the commencement date of a program or course will only be eligible for admission under exceptional circumstances and approved for admission by the Academic Registrar.
