Exercise scientists apply the science of human movement to improve health and performance in athletes and the general population. This program develops the professional attributes expected of an accredited exercise scientist, including inclusive practice, ethical conduct, effective communication and appropriate digital practice.
Students will gain in-depth knowledge across functional anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, skill acquisition and sport psychology, with a focus on performance analysis and strength and conditioning. Learn in high-performance sport strength-training spaces, using athlete testing and data-informed methods to design, deliver and evaluate training. They will undertake the required hours of supervised professional practice to qualify for accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
