Course outline

The Bachelor of Communication Design degree teaches you to share information visually using cutting-edge techniques, tools and tech from across disciplines. You’ll be guided by industry experts (think: brand consultants, graphic designers and creative directors) and will graduate ready to make your mark on the creative industry.

This course gets right into the theory and practice of information design, from initial concepts through to boundary-pushing visuals. Learn about print or digital design, and cover strategic thinking, brand strategy, packaging design, storytelling, customer experience design and service design. You’ll explore sustainability in design, tackle UI and UX design, and apply design thinking methodologies that challenge the norm. Develop a cross-disciplinary design skillset, choosing electives that let you follow your passions and leave with the skills to carve out your own path in the industry.
Whether you choose to study on-campus or online, you’ll get your hands dirty with projects that tackle real-world challenges through problem-based learning and work-integrated learning opportunities.
