Students will learn to combine practical business capability with scientific knowledge to address environmental, production and resource challenges across the local and global agriculture sector. They study integrated knowledge from agribusiness including finance, marketing, sustainable supply chain, and management, while developing technical expertise in plant and animal production, agricultural innovation and sustainable farming practices.
Throughout their studies, students learn to apply emerging scientific, technological, managerial, economic and social principles to improve food and fibre production with minimal environmental impact. They gain insight into livestock and cropping systems across small, medium, and large scale farming operations and learn to devise and evaluate practical, technology driven strategies that support sustainable productivity.
Students access world leading academics and modern agricultural facilities, including research greenhouses, plant nurseries, animal and veterinary facilities and more than 1,000 hectares of farmland. Graduates emerge with a globally respected, work ready qualification and the commercial, analytical and scientific skills needed to contribute to the future of sustainable agriculture.
