The Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Information Technology gives you the creative and technical skills to design human‑centred solutions in a digitally transforming world. You will learn how design shapes products, places and experiences, and develop your ability to innovate, collaborate and solve problems through studio and project‑based learning.
Alongside this, you will build strong IT capability, learning to analyse, design and manage secure and sustainable digital systems using industry‑standard tools. You will explore emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and understand how to apply them ethically and effectively in business and community contexts.
Throughout your studies, you will complete real‑world learning experiences, including practical projects, internships and Work Integrated Learning (WIL). You will work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, strengthening your communication skills to present complex ideas clearly. You will also consider the ethical, social and cultural dimensions of design and technology, including inclusive practice and First Nations perspectives.
As a graduate, you will be prepared for roles that combine creative insight with technical expertise—designing digital interfaces, developing software and smart products, managing IT systems or contributing to innovation across design‑led and technology‑driven industries.
