SAE Audio graduates have been involved with many outstanding production companies, studios, live venues and radio broadcasters, including Forester Savile, Count Bounce, Michael Stavrou, Labsonics, Post Studio, Black Pearl Studios, Sing Studios, Woodstock Studios, Prince of Wales Hotel, Revolver, J-Air Community Radio Station and Soundcorp.

In the Associate Degree of Audio, you’ll apply theoretical knowledge and best practices while accessing studios to amplify your talents on cutting-edge equipment like the Neve, or an SSL, or an Audient console. All the while you will gain proficiencies on software like Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live.

In preparation for an industry that commands agility and adaptability, you’ll cut your creative teeth on projects in partnership with your course peers. By the end of your course, you could be collaborating with fellow students across all SAE disciplines.

Areas of study: Audio terminology, sound theory, microphone theory, techniques and practical application, recording studio signal flow, mixing techniques, critical listening, digital audio workstations (DAW), signal processing, audio technology, live sound reinforcement and AV systems, interactive audio, music principles, audio for screen, emerging technology, immersive audio, project management.

Note

Duration is one and a quarter years full-time. Part-time study available for eligible applicants (excluding international student visa holders).
SAE has a range of approaches to learning and teaching that can be activated to provide flexibility in the face of changing circumstances as required, to support student progression regardless of external factors.
