This course is designed for high-achieving students who want an advanced business degree with integrated honours. Students build strong foundations in business while developing deeper specialist knowledge and higher-level analytical capability. They join an ambitious cohort and complete a distinctive suite of core courses – including courses exclusive to the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) — along with honours-level capstones in their chosen major(s). Students can specialise in one major or take up to two majors, and broaden their study through electives and optional study abroad.
The course offers two pathways. The professional pathway integrates honours-level coursework and research-informed problem solving for industry careers where employers value evidence-based decision making, clear communication and the ability to tackle complex problems. The research pathway includes honours coursework and an honours thesis, building advanced research capability valued in roles that demand deep analysis and a strong evidence base — including strategy and advisory, investment and market research, policy and program evaluation, and advanced analytics and insights — and it can also provide a strong foundation for further study by research such as a PhD. Honours is awarded to all graduates, giving students a globally recognised qualification that will help them stand out in a competitive job market.
