Some courses in this program are scheduled to be offered at the Treasury Building at our Brisbane City campus in 2027. If scheduled opening is delayed, courses may be delivered all or in part at our other Brisbane locations.
Learn about key sustainability issues, such as energy, water and waste management, and develop an appreciation of the interrelationships between environmental sustainability and business success. Learn through extensive fieldwork, hands-on labs, data analysis and real case studies rather than theory-only study. Your environmental science studies begin with core scientific courses before progressing into areas such as GIS, environmental data analytics, land management, biodiversity, water resources and climate change. You’ll learn in living laboratories where nature is your classroom, exploring how environmental decisions influence business success. Your learning will be centered on practical experiences, including field trips, ecological monitoring, lab sessions, environmental modelling and professional placements. In your business studies, you’ll develop a clear understanding of how organisations operate and how sustainability influences strategy, risk and performance. Explore fields such as marketing, logistics, human resources, innovation, analytics or international business, and complement your skills through internships, consulting projects and global mobility opportunities. Your final year includes a capstone experience, where you can complete a major industry internship, conduct applied research or participate in extended fieldwork. These experiences allow you to apply your combined knowledge, strengthen professional networks and graduate career-ready.
