Combine scientific expertise with a deep understanding of criminal behaviour and the justice system. This double degree equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to analyse forensic evidence, understand crime trends and contribute to investigations and legal processes. You’ll learn from practising academics and industry professionals who bring their expertise, unique experience and cutting-edge research into the classroom. In forensic science, you’ll benefit from a science-first curriculum with a focus on core chemistry and biology alongside forensics, giving you insight into both the scientific and social dimensions of crime. Complete a professional placement in your final year to gain in-field experience and expand your career options beyond traditional forensic roles. Eligible students may join the Criminology Undergraduate Research Internship Program, undertaking a research project with one-on-one mentorship from criminology experts. These competitive internships run three times a year and are a unique opportunity available only at Griffith, supported by direct connections with industry experts. You may also choose to continue your studies with an honours degree in either forensic science or criminology and criminal justice, which can lead to a PhD.
