Studying law and biomedical science equips you with a distinctive and highly sought-after skillset, bringing together scientific investigation, legal reasoning and ethical decision-making. You’ll explore the foundations of biomedical and clinical science — including genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, infectious disease, pharmacology and neuroscience — while developing strong legal capabilities in critical analysis, advocacy and communication. You’ll examine how law shapes healthcare delivery, biomedical research and biotechnological innovation, with opportunities to build expertise in areas such as healthcare law, bioethics, intellectual property and regulatory frameworks. Practical learning is embedded across both disciplines, with hands-on laboratory training, real client legal experiences, internships and industry-connected projects helping you apply theory to practice. As a graduate, you’ll be prepared to navigate the complex ethical, regulatory and policy challenges influencing modern health and medical innovation, with the professional skills, experience and networks to pursue diverse career pathways across law, science, research and emerging biotechnology fields.
