Course outline

This course develops a high level of technical and evaluative skill, enabling students to assess and implement recommendations for best practice in patient testing, monitoring and education, as well as in the development of therapeutics within the cutting-edge medical biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Students also develop high level communication skills to support effective interaction with patients or clients, other health professionals, and industry leaders, preparing them for clinical or scientific work environments. Clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities are strengthened through participation in the design, conduct and/or interpretation of medical research. Majors

Biotechnology; biotechnology and diagnostic pathology, clinical physiology.
All majors are available to study on campus in Rockhampton or via online study. In Bundaberg, only the Clinical Physiology major is available to study on campus.
