You don’t have to be in Year 12 or currently studying to apply for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS), but most of the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) categories relate to circumstances that affect your most recent studies.

What adjustments factors can I receive?
Adjustments may be applied for factors such as performance in certain Year 12 and university subjects, living or attending school in a certain location, sporting achievement and consideration through QTAC’s Educational Access Scheme (EAS).
Will I receive an adjustment based on my location?
Location adjustments are made based on your proximity to the institution offering the course or courses you’re applying for. For example, some institutions give you additional points for being a local resident, or for living in a regional or remote area. Location adjustments are made to your QTAC application automatically, after you apply.
Are there any equity scholarships linked to the Educational Access Scheme (EAS)?
Most institutions offer scholarships, including equity scholarships that assist regional students, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, and students from low-income backgrounds to access study. You must apply to the institution directly for most scholarships, except: QUT’s Q-Step Scheme and UQ’s Queensland Commitment Scholarship.
