What is the Rural Access Scheme (RAS)?
The Rural Access Scheme exists to recognise the challenges that are often faced by students from Rural and Remote backgrounds. Some institutions offer courses with a number of places reserved for applicants from rural and remote backgrounds. This is part of the Rural Access Scheme, designed to support students like you.

I don’t receive Centrelink payments, am I eligible?
You could be. You just need to prove financial need by providing evidence to us including the last 8 weeks of your pay slips.
I have already started a course and want to transfer to another course. Am I still eligible?
Yes, you may still be considered for a Scholarship if you meet all other eligibility criteria.
How long can I receive the scholarship?
A Scholarship can support a minimum course duration of six months full-time and a maximum course duration of four years full-time (or the part-time equivalent).
I am studying full-time but only received a part-time payment, what do I do?

What documentation do I need to provide each semester?
Scholarship recipients are required to provide the following information each semester: Evidence of continued enrolment in Course of Study Units completed to date, including academic achievement And, evidence of continued financial need
