How do I change my course preferences?
Login to your QTAC Account Select “Change preferences” Drag and drop to update your preference order or delete and add new courses Save your changes
Can I submit more than one QTAC application?
You can only submit one QTAC application in each admissions period. If you change your mind about what you want to study, you can simply change your course preferences.
I applied for courses through QTAC in a previous year. Do I need to create a new application for this year, or can I log into my old application?
A QTAC Application is only valid for the admissions period for which you are applying. If you wish to lodge a new application for the next admissions period, login to your account and submit a new application.
How do I check my selection rank?

I meet all of the entry requirements, does that mean I automatically get an offer?
Meeting the entry requirements means you are eligible to be considered for a course, but it does not guarantee you will receive an offer. Is it easier to get into university if I’m not a current Year 12 student?
Regardless of your age, you are required to meet all entry requirements to be considered for a program. Generally, you’ll need an eligible qualification before an institution will make you an offer. For example, institutions may look at your Year 12 studies, your results in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), or your employment experience.
Can I apply for university if I don’t have any previous qualifications?
There are a number of pathways available for people with no formal qualifications, there are also pathway courses for applicants who don’t meet the entry requirements for a course. Check out our enabling and bridging page for pathway assistance.
If I’m not eligible for a course, are there other courses I can apply for?
Yes, most institutions offer pathway courses for applicants who don’t meet the entry requirements for bachelor programs, or who need further support or preparation before studying at a bachelor degree level. Check out our enabling and bridging page for pathway assistance.
